Location : Cochin - Varkala
Detail Itinerary : Morning drive to Varkala (100 kms).
Upon arrival in Varkala - check into the hotel Taj Garden Retreat. Rest of the day free for own activities.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 02

Location : Varkala
Detail Itinerary : Morning visit the Portugese church of Anjengo dated to the time of occupation, which maybe the Elanchoros of the geography of Ptomempee (2nd century A.D.). Also visit the English Fort constructed in 1695 A.D. by the English 'East India Company'.

Afternoon free.

Day 03

Location : Varkala - Kumarakom
Detail Itinerary : Morning drive to Kumarakom (100 kms), check into hotel Taj Garden Retreat.

Afternoon visit the superb Bird Sanctuary in adjacent wooded marshland - which boasts of egrets, tree pies, black headed orioles, bee-eaters & a whole host of herons.

Overnight at hotel.



Day 04

Location : Kumarakom
Detail Itinerary : Fullday at leisure. (You can opt for Ayurvedic therapy on direct payment basis).

Day 05

Location : Kumarakom - Periyar
Detail Itinerary : Morning drive to Periyar (120 kms), check into hotel Taj Garden Retreat.

Afternoon boatcruise on the Lake of the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary to see wild life. Periyar Lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River is the heart of the Wildlife Sanctuary wild elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even Tigers come to shores of the lake for a drink.

Thereafter at leisure to explore the neighboring spice market.

Day 06

Location : Periyar
Detail Itinerary : Fullday at leisure. (You can opt for Ayurvedic therapy on direct payment basis).

Day 07

Location : Periyar - Cochin
Detail Itinerary : Morning drive to Cochin (160 kms).
Later transfer to the airport for flight back home.
